Zeus - Zeus was the god of the sky, lightning, thunder, law, order, justice and was the Olympian gods. Often known as the father of the gods. His symbol was a lightning bolt.
Hera - Hera the queen of the gods, childbirth, family and goddess of woman and marriage. Her symbol was pride. Aphrodite - Her symbol was a dove and Aphrodite's is the goddess of beauty, sexuality and love. Athena - Athena is the goddess of wisdom, war and the crafts and was the favourite daughter of Zeus. Apollo - Apollo is the god of music and has the symbol of a harp. He is one of the sons of Zeus. Poseidon - Poseidon is the god of the sea and rivers, creator of storms, floods and is the bringer of earthquakes and destruction. Hermes - Hermes is the Greek god of trade, wealth, luck, fertility, animal husbandry (the domestication, care and breeding for animals) , sleep, language, thieves and travel. One of the cleverest and most mischievous of all the Olympian gods. Hermes was also their herald and messenger. Hermes symbol is a golden staff which is the staff that Apollo gave to him. Demeter - Demeter is one of the oldest Greek gods. Demeter is the goddess of the harvest. Ares - Ares is the symbol and god of war and was about the most unpopular of all of the Olympian gods. Artemis - Artemis is one of the daughters of Zeus and Leto. Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo. Artemis is the goddess of chastity, hunting, wild, animals, forests, childbirth and fertility. Hephaestus - Ancient Greek god of fire, metallurgy and crafts. Hephaestus was the blacksmith of the Olympian gods, He was the god that fashioned houses, amour, and ingenious devices. Dionysus - Dionysus was the ancient Greek god of wine, merriment (fun) and theatre. In most ways Dionysos is the most colorful of the Olympian Gods. |
